Loved this discovery off the side of the road. The soft green grass mixed with poppies, the wood fence, the rustic windmill; it's the rural and natural beauty of the Antelope Valley.

Among all the fields and fields of poppies that bloomed that spring, I'm not sure I've ever stumbled upon a more perfect set. This little collection was so charming, arranged as if stars in a constellation. All were bright and gleaming under the high desert sun.

Spotted eating berries alongside the road in Canada. I snagged a portrait shot just as he looked up at me with those little chocolate eyes before returning to the berries.

Two faintly yellow poppies in a sea of orange. So much to love about this scene, from the colors, to the textures, to the little yellow pair!

I couldn't resist photographing these subdued, minty blue-greens of the cactus as they paired so perfectly with the ruddy browns and tangled shapes of the dried bushes. All the colors and textures together create a feel as elegant as it is rustic. Not your every day form of beauty, somehow soft and threatening at the same time.
